A teenage conversation

So, the teenage years are fast upon us. In less than a month we will have an official teenager. I am getting glimpses in to the future.

Me: Tyler, do you have any tests or anything this week?

Tyler: I don't know.

Me: Well, what do you mean you don't know? Do you or don't you?

Tyler: I DON'T KNOW!

Me: Doesn't your teacher tell you when you have a test?

Tyler: Yes.

Me: So...do you have any?

Tyler: Mom, I don't know.

Me: Don't you write it down?

Tyler: Yes.

Me: So....

(Tyler goes upstairs for about 20 minutes)

Me: Did you check?

Tyler: Check what?

Me: Your assigment book?

Tyler: Oh, no. I was looking for a deck of cards.

Me: (Blah blahg blhag...10 minutes of me nagging....)

Tyler: Fine, I will check.

(Another 15 minutes go by....)

Me: Well???

Tyler: Mom, I DON'T KNOW. (and que the eye roll..)

Me: When do you plan on finding out..when you walk into class and the teacher says "test!"?

Tyler: I guess so.


UUUGGHHHH. I am so sorry for all that I did as a teenager. Paybacks are a-coming!!

Tyler made varsity!!

In his first year of wrestling, Tyler wrestled varsity today. And he won. He pinned a guy, bigger than him, with 40 seconds left in the match. Way to go!! And of course, I wasn't there. I was getting a facial and a pedicure. Figures.

He was so excited, but he won't let me get a picture of him in his singlet.

A New Year

The big news of the day....both Tyler AND William got their hair cut!!! I was sad at one, happy at the other.
