Jackson lost/Jackson found

Lee left for the gym a little bit ago, and I realized about 5 minutes later that Jackson was no longer watching Bob the Builder. After a search upstairs and downstairs, (and the promise of a cookie of he owuld answer Mommy), here is where he was:

The shoe closet. Weird kid.

The Neighborhood Christmas Party

This year I decided that it would be fun to help out with the neighborhood party. I didn't do much, but it was nice to get involved (since as you know, I never volunteer to do anything). So anyway, Lee was working that day, but I thought it would be great to take the kids and enjoy.

Brenna was up throwing up Friday and Saturday night, so come Sunday she was in no shape to attend the party. I considered bagging the whole thing, but Lilly and Jackson wanted to go (and more importantly, I spent $30 on tickets already). Tyler graciously agreed to stay home with Brenna, so off we went.

I will never, NEVER, again take those monsters out in public. Never. Thing One and Thing Two are not fit for human observation. I am sure I am now the poster mom for why people shouldn't have large families. Luckily, no one was hurt (at least not any major injuries) and nothing was broken. One of the milder moments:

They did see Santa, after Jackson completely cut the line and walked right up like he owned that place....

For some reason they look miserable in this picture, but there were like 5 cameras going off at once and off course I caught this one!

Lilly had a great time dancing away!!

Oh, and the stomach bug lasted several nights for Brenna, just nights. Weird!

When Elmo attacks...

Laura and I were feeling brave (crazy) and decided to take the kids to visit with Elmo at Pizza Hut. We got there nice and early, got a great table, and waited for the 7 (yes, SEVEN) kids to be thrilled and excited.

Brenna and Jackson were thrilled and excited. The rest, not so much. Lilly was mildly amused. Riley couldn't care less. Erin was all tough until he actually came over to her. William was terrified, he nearly jumped out of his seat to get away. Meghan cried whenever a stranger looked at her.

*sigh*. Why do we do this to ourselves??

So...Tyler had his first wrestling thingy on Saturday (match..meet??). He idd great, two pins and a forfit so he is undefeated as of now. I thought he would get his ass kicked, so I am pleasently surprised. He is so excited! I ordered him some wrestling gear and it finally came today, only I ordered size 11 KIDS instead of mens, so we are still out wrestling shoes. He does have a cool bag and head gear though...

I also had the kids get dressed for hteir annual Christmas picture. It was cute, if not agravating. Getting 5 kids to look and smile at the same time...yikes. I don't want to post the final shot (save that for the Christmas card), but here are some samples. These are some of the goofier pictures. We had fun.

We had some snow today...early for the season I think. It is damn cold. Yuck.
